Computer Graphics Analysis: A Method for Arbitrary Image Shape Description
نویسنده
چکیده
─ A concept of a new set of features suitable for describing arbitrary shapes after their thinning is presented. The features are the minimal eigenvalues of the Toeplitz matrices formed from the rational functions, in which the coordinates of the characteristic pixels of the shape to be described are used as coefficients, the x coordinates in the numerator polynomial, and the y coordinates in the denominator polynomial. The rational function has a form which makes it a general measure of Image description and its features extraction. The method is introduced and applied for the first time.

One of the complex documents in the real world is city maps. In these kinds of maps, text labels overlap by graphics with having a variety of fonts and styles in different orientations. Usually, text and graphic colour is not predefined due to various map publishers. In most city maps, text and graphic lines form a single connected component. Moreover, the common regions of text and graphic lin...

Over the last decade, the intersections between 3D shape analysis and image processing have become a topic of increasing interest in the computer graphics community. Nevertheless, when attempting to apply current image analysis methods to 3D shapes (feature-based description, registration, recognition, indexing, etc.) one has to face fundamental differences between images and geometric objects....

متن کاملReflectance Analysis for 3D Computer Graphics Model Generation
For synthesizing realistic images of a real three dimensional object, reflectance properties of the object surface, as well as the object shape, need to be measured. This paper describes one approach to create a three dimensional object model with physically correct reflectance properties by observing a real object. The approach consists of three steps. First, a sequence of range images and col...
